32″ JVC LT32JM30 LCD 1080p HDTV 3 HDMI w/HDCP User Review

Pros:
+ Picture Quality – I have this hooked up to a bluray and it looks great. I’d say the black levels are slightly above average for televisions in this price range.
+ Inputs – I like the 3 HDMI, and PC input in particular (it also has 2 component). I’ve hooked my computer up to it via HDMI and love the extra screen real-estate that it gives me being 1080p
Cons:
– It takes a bit to “warm” up when first turning it on. An image starts to appear within 5 seconds and it gradually increases in brightness, this is kind of annoying.
– Viewing angle: this isn’t huge but other LCDs do better. You can see from any angle, but there is a noticeable difference in brightness and visibility the larger the angle gets from the TV.
– Price : Just on the tad expensive size for what you get.

Comparing this to a cheaper 32 inch Element that we have in the house this one out performs it just about every way (but it’s also about 0 more expensive). The sound isn’t anything to boast about but it will do for TV speakers. Changing channels on an Off-the-air signal is a little slow, but not any worse then the Element. The black levels are far better on this comparatively as well as the colors it produces. Menu’s offer quite a bit of customization.
If you can find this TV for less than 0 then you’d have yourself an amazing deal, otherwise it’s just an average TV for the price.
