Well let put it like this, it looks better than my old sony 60″ I’ve had in the past. I am amazed at all the picture tuning you can do for a beast like this.Add the fact that it is 3D ready just waiting for the adapter to come out for it. When I play fight night round 4 it feels like I’m watching it on tv instead of playing the game. Also I suggest you get the matching stand to with it. All tho I didn’t buy mines from Amazon, bought it from Costco I came out on top I paid 1299 for tv and stand there is no way in hell you gonna find a deal like that, but really if you are into big screeners for your basement i really recommend you get one of these or the 82″er trust me if I had a few more thousands in my pocket i would jump for the 82″er. my only down side to this tv is the remote, its quite boring but my onkyo remote takes care of all that and there is no USB slot but not an big issue. To really appreciate the picture quality i suggest you sit down and play with the picture set up. You won’t be disappointed with this tv too bad I can’t hang this on a wall lmao, I normally don’t post reviews because everybody else does a good job of telling it you……

I have this exact tv, the mitsubishi lt-52148, the only difference between mine and this lt-52149 is the sound bar mine is 1300.00 currently and this one is 1900 for the extra sounbars speakers. I chose not to get the sounbar because i have a home theatre so it would have been useless!

I purchased this (lt-52148(exact same tv w/o soundbar)) tv for 2k when it first came out, it was 2500, but i got it on sale, overall id pay the same amount and buy it all over again. The on screen menu’s are extremely user friendly,and the options are amazing it has 4 hdmi ports so you dont need much more, also has component so you can hook up and old equipment as well. The 120hz live motion is Phenominal and takes viewing to a whole other level, The picture is extremely clear,crisp and vibrant, especially when you run blu rays. I love watching tv more than ever!!! You do get a tad of blur on live motion around moving objects but not too noticeable and nothing more than any other lcd on the market. For 1500 bux this tv is a steal. Does not run hot and for the last year ive had 0 problems with this tv..It is a high performer and the thin outline around tv gives you all 52″ that you want. Every time some one comes over there amazed at the sheer size and classy look of this tv. But when i turn it on and demo a blu ray in live motion, they look at me and are literatly speechless. They dont even say anything there just trying to process how the tv is displaying the way it does.LOL!! No Joke. 1500 is worth this tv, if you are looking for a 52″. I want a bigger 65″ plus but im waiting for prices to adjust just because i love huge displays but i love this tv!!! PHENOMINAL AND ID BUY IT AGAIN!!!!

I recently purchased this television and I love it. As with all large LCD, DLP, or plasma, the picture is not very good if you are not watching Hi-Def programming. But the Hi-Def picture is perfect. I watched the Lakers/Magic playoff game last night and could not have been more pleased with the picture.

The design of the tv is wonderful as well. It has a semi-matte screen and when the tv is on I have not seen ANY reflections (which is why I did not buy a samsung). When the tv is off the reflections are minimal. The bezel around the tv is very small which makes it very attractive for wall mounting. The remote is actually pretty nice and lights up.

Mitsubishi WD-65737 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV User Review

I’m one of those folks who thought there ‘must be something wrong’ with the Mitsubishi DLPs because of their relatively low price compared to the LCD & Plasmas. Nonetheless, I finally pulled the trigger on a WD65737 bundle deal with stand. First off, the tv is very light…the stand is easily heavier than the tv. Using HDMI cables and plugging in my HD-DVR and PS3… I was (and still am) in complete awe at the stunning picture from this tv. Crystal clear, bright bright colors…absolutely amazing HD display….better than any LCD or plasma I’ve seen on display in-store (no exaggeration). The entire market for big-screen TVs is pro-LCD & Plasma because of their thin profile. For a 65″ screen, there is no better bang-for-your-buck than the 737 (or 738). Sure you can’t wall-mount it, but who cares? Most of us have components, game systems, and cable boxes that require some kind of stand so you aren’t really saving any space at all to have a 3″ wide tv. This 737 is not subject to screen burn-in, and it is 3D-ready and I just read that they are in full-compliance with the new 3D blu-ray standards that were set a couple of weeks ago. Don’t be a fool and pay ,000 or more for a 65″ lcd/plasma, you are just throwing your money away. Also remember that large LCD & plasmas will cost twice as much in energy usable than DLP rear projection TVs. I’ve read other reviews that the TV speakers aren’t very good but I haven’t even used mine because I have a receiver with surround sound. Also, the remote is only average but I all use it for is menu-setting access and powering the tv on and off so… no big deal. My first movie viewing was 8-Mile (blu-ray) and was simply amazed at the black levels and contrast. If you have a PS3 or Xbox 360, you are in for a mind-blowing experience. Madden 10 looks like a real broadcast, it really is so crystal clear you have to do the ’shake your head, blink your eyes thing’.

Mitsubishi WD-65C9 65-Inch 1080p Flat panel DLP Home Theater User Review

bought this Tv a few weeks ago. so far so good! i don’t want to jinx things, but i’ve got no complaints. this tv replaced a sony 50″ bought about three years ago. besides the size increase, the picture appears sharper. on another note, i also believe it’s a much more attractive tv too. my sony had a silver “frame” around the screen, while this tv has a black one. which is a lot less noticeable than the sony.
the only thing i would suggest would be that calling a delivery, a “white glove” delivery, led me to believe that the “installer” might actually know more than me as far as installation goes…….NOPE! the guy actually told me this was the first mitsubishi he had ever installed! didn’t exactly instill confidence in me. while there was no problem, i’d hate to see what a un-”white glove” install is.

I wanted a 52 inch TV. My home entertainment center is 33′ tall. The Samsung and Sony are 34′ tall. The Mitsubishi is only 31.5′ with the stand, so it fits in great. It has a really small bezel, so almost the entire TV is screen. There isn’t a lot of wasted space around the edges. The picture on the TV is really good. The TV was really easy to set up and I was watching HD TV in less than 10 minutes. It did not come with an hdmi cable. You need one to connect the TV to the DVR/cable box. I compared this TV to the comparable Sony and Samsung and the picture quality was almost the exact same. The guy at Fry’s tried to point out settle differences, but they were almost impossible to notice even when the TV’s were right next to each other. If you buy the TV on Amazon you get free shipping and no tax and it make it the best price compared to any retail store or online retailer.

This is a fantastic TV. I purchased mine from OneCall, who got it to my house in 3 days. The television arrives in typical packaging: a box-over-crate with styrofoam padding. Even with the crate, the television is light and easy to manage, if not just slightly awkward due to it’s sheer size. After un-boxing and removing the protective sheet foam from the television itself, you’ll inevitably wonder, “Was my wife right… IS it too big?” Don’t worry, that thought passes as quickly as it came. There really is no such thing as too big for TVs, after all.

Out of the box, the picture is great. Most people will probably be satisfied with the picture, but will mess with the controls just because they can. After calibration, though, it’s stunning. The available controls in the user and service menu allow for an almost perfect calibration session. There was a very small compromise when it came to tint (the 835 series has PerfectTint, so if you’re looking for perfection and don’t mind paying a premium for a difference you won’t really notice, you should look at that series), but otherwise it’s as close to spec as possible.

For HTPC owners, take note that there is no DVI connection, so be sure your video card has an HDMI out or that you pick up a DVI-HDMI adapter. Other than that, it has all the connections you’ll need. The NetCommand IR works well with my IR components, including the DirecTV HD DVR. Although, it is a little slow. The slight reduction in button response is well worth not having to have an extra remote laying around and I have the added bonus of hiding all of my components. The two included IR emitters can control multiple devices. The television also has NetCommand HDMI, but I don’t have any devices capable of utilizing it.

My only complaint with this Mitsubishi is the included remote is poorly designed. Don’t get me wrong, it works well. It’s just clunky, ugly, and as ergonomic as a brick. The button layout is far from intuitive… it’s backwards from most of the remotes I use. All my other remotes have channel numbers on the bottom, television controls (up, down, left, right, menu, volume, etc) in the middle, and player controls (play, rw, ff, stop, etc) on the top. This one is numbers on the top, television controls in the middle, and player controls on the bottom.

All in all, remote aside, this is the TV you should buy if you’re not caught up in the fad of paying 4 times more for the same size screen or paying the same for a 4 times smaller screen simply because you can hang it on the wall. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the television. Well, if it had a built in beer keg…
