The XV-N670B provides DivX (5.0) playback, the video compression format for computer files on the Internet. DivX accounts for 250 million downloads worldwide, as its video technology offers high-quality video at seven to 10 times greater compression than MPEG-2 files, enabling full length films to easily fit on a CD or be delivered over broadband connections. The XV-N670B also features 1080P up-conversion via HDMI output and also an optical digital output. This is a slim design DVD video player featuring HDMI output (up-conversion 1080p), multi-format playback including DivX (R).

Purchased this item for my second TV in the den/office and have been very satisfied with the product. One caveat is to be careful with the tray, as it is a little delicate. My first unit developed a jam in the first few weeks of use and would not open or close. JVC replaced the unit under the warranty and I’ve been using ever since with no problems. Great video signal to my 37″ Polaroid HDTV LCD via the HDMI interface. This unit has been in service for one year now with no problems whatsoever on the second unit provided by JVC.
