Panasonic VIERA G10 Series TC-P54G10 54-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV, Black User Review

I already own a 50″ Plasma and 32″ LCD TV. I was pretty much set to buy another LCD TV since more and more stores carry LCD than Plasma. I also looked into LED TVs but after doing a lot of research, I gave up on LCD or LED and decided to get Plasma. Since Pioneer is out and Panasonic is leader in Plasmas, I decided to go with Panasonic. Panasonic has a lot of models to choose from and it gets harder to choose. I wanted to get V10 but bought G10 because basically both offer the same features except for a few. The most noticeable feature in V10 is 96HZ refresh rate which is nice but I couldn’t justify the price difference. The 60HZ refresh rate in G10 is more than suffice and picture quality is stunning. I keep my picture mode to standard but THX in total dark room is awesome and movie theater like. The feature to connect to internet is very convenient. I had doubts when I ordered a HD movie from Amazon, but I was pleasantly surprise by the outstanding picture quality. I only wish if they can have Netflix. I went to many different stores and looked many TVs but this TV is amazing especially for the price unless you can afford Z1. I’m not sure why someone would want to buy a LCD TV even with the refresh rate of 120HZ or 240HZ, LCD cannot compete with the warmth and natural looking picture quality of plasma. Everyone I know bought LCD and I’m just glad that I bought Panasonic P54G10 Plasma.
